AUGUST flew by!

as we say in our community... "Ai - Ya - Yai!"
August flew by so fast!
I have 26 first grade owls in my class.  
Some of our 1st Things:
-first day of school
-first assembly
-first fire drill
-first pop quiz
-first parent volunteers
-first popcorn party
-first library visit
-first water color painting
-first science lesson (planted)
-first ohana picnic
-first student of the month award
-first open house
-first penpal writing letters
-first birthday recognition
-first sight of Mrs. Na'ihe's "happy tears"
-first lollipop from their teacher

Hoot Hoot Hoo-ray Welcome to First Grade

A summer of memories and fun is now coming to a close as I prepare my classroom for 25 FANTASTIC first grade students.  I'm eager to see OWL the fun learning we will do this academic year.
